FLUX is Black Forest Labs' image generation model, currently considered the state-of-the-art for photorealistic AI images. Open weights for FLUX.1-dev (research/personal use) and FLUX.1-schnell (Apache 2.0 license, fully open). Generally beats Stable Diffusion XL on photorealism and prompt adherence. Available via API on Replicate, Together AI, fal.ai, or run locally with sufficient VRAM (24GB recommended for full quality). Best for: photorealistic outputs, professional product photography, headshots, and any use case where image realism matters more than artistic style.
